- 5-day work week
- Rotational shifts: 5:15am – 2:45pm, or 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Weekend and public holiday shifts may be required according to operational requirements.
- Working schedules may be adjusted based on operational requirements.
Job Overview
We are looking for a Temporary F&B Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative, meal service and operational activities of the Food Services department.
The role involves coordinating meal-related administration, supporting kitchen operations, handling enquiries and assisting with stock and general administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage diet-control administration and patient meal-related matters.
- Handle telephone calls, enquiries and feedback, and coordinate follow-ups with relevant departments.
- Collate and update meal information required for kitchen production.
- Generate daily meal summaries using the electronic meal ordering system and distribute them to the relevant kitchen sections.
- Generate patient meal chits for meal preparation and assembly.
- Assist the kitchen team with meal assembly, plating and accurate meal loading.
- Requisition, receive, issue and maintain stock and office supplies.
- Conduct stock takes and ensure items are stored appropriately.
- Organise and deliver goods from stores to relevant departments when required.
- Conduct and collate patient meal satisfaction surveys.
- Assist with daily staff meal orders, including order collation, collection coordination and payment processing.
- Support general administrative duties such as documentation, filing, posters and signage.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Requirements
- NITEC or Diploma in Food Science, Food Nutrition or a related discipline is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant experience in a similar food services/F&B environment are welcome to apply.
- Valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate.
- Good communication, interpersonal and telephone etiquette skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and operational environment.
- Able to perform manual handling duties, including lifting and carrying items.
