Operations Supervisor (Bicycle Retail & Workshop)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bicycle retail and service workshop. The successful candidate will lead the outlet team, maintain service and operational standards, manage inventory and suppliers, and deliver a consistently high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the retail outlet and bicycle service workshop.
• Plan staff schedules, allocate work and monitor team productivity and service quality.
• Train and guide retail and workshop employees on operating procedures and customer-service standards.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate the purchasing of bicycles, components, accessories and workshop supplies.
• Work with suppliers on orders, delivery schedules, pricing and product availability.
• Monitor sales, service turnaround times, operating costs and customer feedback.
• Prepare regular operational, inventory and performance reports for management.
• Handle customer enquiries, quotations, complaints and after-sales matters.
• Maintain accurate point-of-sale, stock and transaction records.
• Ensure compliance with workplace-safety requirements and company procedures.
• Recommend and implement improvements to outlet and workshop operations.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience in bicycle retail, workshop or related operations.
• At least two years of experience supervising employees.
• Good knowledge of bicycles, components, accessories and workshop service processes.
• Experience in inventory control, purchasing and supplier coordination.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Able to prepare operational reports and use common office, point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Relevant technical or operations qualifications are preferred, but substantial relevant experience may be considered.
• Able to work according to the outlet’s operating schedule, including weekends when rostered.
