A substantial part of our practice involves counseling associate candidates on how to achieve their career goals. Responsibilities
The Managing Director will have responsibility for:
- Maintain strong law firm client relationships and to develop relationships with new law firms
- Working closely with clients to identify their recruitment needs and to become our clients’ primary search partner as new roles materialise
- Using the database to identify and source appropriate candidates for specific roles
- Assisting with developing a strong database of candidates
- Constantly developing personal market knowledge and sharing market intelligence
- Meeting candidates who are appropriate for our client needs and learning about their current firm’s strengths and challenges
- Offering excellence in dealings and communications with candidates and clients to instill trust in both
- Always acting with urgency, and treating clients, candidates and colleagues with utmost respect and professionalism
Experience
- A qualified lawyer seeking a career change, or an experienced recruitment professional looking for a strong platform
- Knowledge of and network within the Asia legal market
- Strong client-facing skills
- Commitment to service and delivering results
- Understanding the importance of rigorously collecting and sharing market information, and the personal discipline to do so
- Highly developed communication skills – written and verbal
- Organisational skills, including proven ability to prioritise and follow up
- Strong business acumen
- Self-starting; Urgency; Responsiveness, both internally and externally
- A team player who exhibits collaborative work habits, including mentoring and training of new consultants
- Commitment to ethics, equal opportunity and diversity
The package for this position is competitive and commensurate with skills and experience. It includes a base salary and graduated commission plan.
