Cyber Security Specialist (Palo Alto)_Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and Panorama.
• Manage firewall policies, security rules, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), NAT, and network segmentation.
• Monitor security events, investigate alerts, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Implement and manage security features such as Threat Prevention, WildFire, URL Filtering, and GlobalProtect.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
• Perform firewall upgrades, patching, and migration projects.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and application teams to strengthen security posture.
• Maintain security documentation, reports, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Cyber Security with hands-on Palo Alto administration.
• Strong knowledge of network security concepts, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with SIEM, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, GlobalProtect, WildFire, and Threat Prevention.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and security compliance requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, CEH, Security+, or CISSP are an advantage.
