Purchaser / Import & Export Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment and supplies for project requirements.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices and negotiate with suppliers.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO).
• Handle purchasing arrangements from China and other overseas suppliers.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Check HS codes, country of origin and customs requirements where applicable.
• Coordinate Customs permits / declarations through the relevant systems or appointed agents.
• Follow up on customs clearance and resolve documentation issues.
• Monitor shipment status from supplier to Singapore warehouse/project site.
• Work closely with the Storekeeper to monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
• Maintain accurate English-Mandarin bilingual purchasing records and documentation.
• Work closely with the project and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of purchasing experience.
• Experience in hardware, construction materials or related industries is required.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Work Details

• Working Days: Monday to Friday (5-day work week)
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Annual Wage Supplement (AWS)
