Art Director (Contract)

We are looking for a forward-thinking Art Director to lead visual storytelling across campaigns, branding, digital, and social. Working closely with the Creative Director, you will turn strategic thinking and creative direction into strong visual work.

You will set the visual direction, develop executional concepts, work alongside designers on execution, and direct shoots and production. You should also be comfortable using AI tools to explore ideas, prototype concepts, and accelerate creative production.

Key Responsibilities
Art Direction

• Translate creative direction into distinctive visual directions, KVs and executional concepts across campaigns, branding, digital, social and OOH.

Hands-on Execution

• Oversee and work alongside designers to develop and refine layouts, typography, imagery, storyboards and digital/social content.

Production

• Brief and direct photographers, printers and other external partners from pre-production to final delivery.

Team Development

• Mentor junior designers and raise the team’s creative and craft standards.

Presentations & Pitches

• Co-present creative work with the Creative Director and lead the visual storytelling of pitches.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Account Servicing, PMs, and production teams to deliver on brief and on time.

AI & Trends

• Use emerging visual trends and generative AI to improve ideation, prototyping, and creative workflows.

Requirements & Skill Set

• 5+ years of experience in Art Direction, Graphic Design, Creative, or related roles, with a strong portfolio across campaigns, branding, digital, social, and/or OOH.
• Strong conceptual and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to translate creative briefs into compelling visual directions, KVs and campaign concepts.
• Strong understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, composition, colour, imagery and layout.
• Hands-on proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); motion/video skills are a plus.
• Strong presentation, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across creative, account servicing and production teams.
• Experience mentoring designers and maintaining high creative standards.
• Strong awareness of visual trends and emerging creative technologies, with practical experience using generative AI tools for ideation and prototyping.
• Able to manage multiple projects, work under tight deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail.
