Labcorp is seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Bioanalytical team in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:
- Independently performs complex and non-routine laboratory analyses, including application of new or unfamiliar methods and technologies.
- Executes advanced analytical workflows across a range of compounds and biological matrices with high accuracy.
- Applies established and newly introduced methods to generate reliable and high-quality data.
- Identifies and resolves complex technical issues, including non-standard experimental challenges.
- Designs and conduct troubleshooting experiments with partial scientific guidance when needed.
- Performs root cause analysis and recommends effective solutions.
- Independently interprets complex data and provides scientifically sound conclusions.
- Supports method development, validation, and optimization activities (execution + input but not full design ownership).
- Apply new methods, technologies, or platforms into routine laboratory use.
- Provides feedback on method performance and suggests improvements.
- Independently operates advanced laboratory instrumentation and platforms.
- Troubleshoots equipment-related issues and ensures proper system performance.
- Supports evaluation and adoption of new instruments or technologies.
- Maintains complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with GxP requirements.
- Performs QC review and ensures data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Identifies deviations and contributes to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Trains and mentors junior staff on laboratory techniques, experimental procedures, and troubleshooting.
- Provides day-to-day technical guidance to support team capability development.
- Contributes to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team environment.
- Actively participates in process and workflow improvement initiatives.
- Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and laboratory performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field with ≥3 years relevant experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree with ≥5 years relevant laboratory experience
- Experience may substitute for education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with complex analytical techniques or platforms (e.g., LC-MS, LBA, hybrid assays)
- Experience applying new methods or transferring methods into routine use
- Strong troubleshooting experience in bioanalytical laboratory settings
- Familiarity with regulated environments (GLP/GCP/GCLP)
