Purchaser (P&S) (Construction, East)

Job Description

• Raise and create purchase requisitions for procurement of goods/services, as required.
• Create Purchase Order (POs), track PO closure and review open PO’s.
• Maintaining records of goods received and ordered.
• Monitoring and preparation of purchasing related reports.
• Maintain and update the approved supplier list
• Monitor and keep optimal inventory levels
• Communicate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
• Review requested items for requisition and liaise with department supervisors to determine the suitability of the material as well as identify and / or track overdue material requests
• Arranges transfer of materials between project sites
• Maintains records of material inventory, asset inventory reports and status and location of materials
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher
• Fresh candidates with engineering background are welcome to apply as well
• Minimum 3 year(s) of procurement experience in Construction/Engineering Industry
• Required Skill(s): Negotiation skills, good Interpersonal skills and able to interface with all levels.
• Understanding of procurement process, Good Communication Skills
• Preferably Executive specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
• Able to start work with short notice
