(Assistant) Quantity Surveyor (Marketing & Tender)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join our Marketing & Tender Department. The role focuses on pre-contract activities, including tender preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, quotation preparation and tender coordination for piling and foundation projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, main contractors, suppliers and internal technical teams to deliver accurate and competitive tender submission.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and other relevant documents to understand project requirements and scope of works.

• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for piling and foundation works.

• Prepare competitive quotations and tender pricing accurately and within stipulated timelines.

• Prepare, compile and coordinate tender documentation for submission to clients and main contractors.

• Liaise with clients and main contractors to clarify tender requirements, obtain relevant information and follow up on tender submissions.

• Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries relating to quotations, tenders and potential projects.

• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, where required, to support tender costing.

• Assist in evaluating project costs and commercial requirements during the tender preparation process.

• Maintain accurate and updated records of quotations, tender submissions, correspondence and tender outcomes.

• Monitor tender progress and prepare weekly and monthly reports for Management review.

• Work closely with internal departments to obtain technical and commercial information required for tender submissions.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, tendering or cost estimation within the construction industry.

• Fresh graduates with a keen interest in tendering and construction costing are also welcome to apply.

• Experience or knowledge in piling, foundation or geotechnical works will be an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Good numerical, analytical and cost-estimation skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Meticulous, organized and able to manage multiple quotations and tender deadlines.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team.

• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge in piling and foundation works
