Analyst – Assistant Director

Brief Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Analyst in Asset Management – Assistant Director to drive the strategic management of diverse portfolio companies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance corporate governance and investment performance.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a small team to manage portfolio companies as an external director or in a similar role.
• Take responsibility for formulating and executing business plans (including business strategies, action plans to improve the company value, and exit strategies) to maximize investment performance
• Submit business plans and provide reporting to the Investment Committee and other relevant bodies
• Establish and strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks
• Establish and improve financial and operational systems (e.g., verifying the status of balance sheets and income statements)
• Verify the establishment and operation of the board of directors and management structure
• Execute exits in collaboration with the team at the Japanese headquarters
• Identifying new investment opportunities (sourcing) by leveraging networks and other resources gained through asset management operations.

Requirements:

• A relevant degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of practical experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate finance.
• Solid understanding of M&A processes, business improvement, and portfolio management.
• Proven capability in managing governance and operational tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to tackling business operations and investments.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards challenges.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.
