Software Engineer (Go/Python) — AMK

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for security-sensitive and network-facing applications
• Develop and integrate software using Go, Python, NodeJS and/or Rust
• Work with networking and security protocols, including TCP/UDP, sockets and TLS
• Integrate cryptographic functions using established libraries
• Improve software performance, reliability and efficiency
• Develop and maintain unit, integration and security tests
• Participate in code reviews, security reviews and vulnerability fixes
• Troubleshoot and contribute to services written in Go, C++ or Python
• Work closely with security, platform and infrastructure teams

Requirements

• Strong development experience in Go, Python, NodeJS and/or Rust
• Good understanding of network programming
• Knowledge of secure coding, authentication, authorisation and common security threats
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Good understanding of testing, CI/CD and software development practices
• Experience with backend systems, databases, caching and microservices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Interest in using AI tools to support software development and learning

Good to Have

• Experience with cryptography or TLS
• Knowledge of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
• Experience with high-performance networking or asynchronous programming
• Experience with secure networking products
• Exposure to Kubernetes / containerised environments
• Knowledge of SAST/DAST, dependency scanning or SBOM
