Early Years Educator

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct developmentally appropriate learning and caregiving activities.

• Create a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.

• Observe and document children’s learning and development.

• Implement appropriate classroom management strategies.

• Ensure children’s health, safety, hygiene and well-being.

• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families and caregivers.

• Work closely with colleagues, families and community partners to support children’s development.

• Perform routine caregiving duties in accordance with established standards.

• Uphold the Centre’s vision, mission, values and professional standards.

These responsibilities are condensed from the key tasks stated on page 1 of the JD.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education.

• ECDA-certified/recognised qualification for the relevant level.

• Passionate about working with young children.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Responsible, adaptable and a good team player.
