Senior Finance Executive (1-year contract / Shipping & Maritime)

About the role

We are partnering with a reputable organization within the shipping and maritime industry to support its finance team. This role offers broad exposure to general ledger accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and consolidation activities within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, accounting schedules and reconciliations to support month-end closing activities.
• Support consolidation reporting and periodic financial submissions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor and review short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support business planning and operational needs.
• Manage accounts receivable receipt applications, voyage accruals and other general ledger accounting activities.
• Assist in annual budgeting exercises, regulatory reporting requirements and ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Prior experience in the shipping or maritime industry is preferred.
• Exposure to budgeting, cash flow forecasting, consolidation reporting or management reporting will be advantageous.
