About this job
· Administrate company & project’s WSH Policy and Objectives;
· Develop programmes to achieve the WSH Objectives;
· Measure, monitor and report WSH performance, safety statistic and trends of key WSH Objectives;
· Establish, implement & maintain Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans, Occupational Health Programme, Fall Prevention Plan, Safe Lifting Plan, Permit-to-Work system and other related programmes;
· Plans, organizes and manages EHS promotional activities within the site to cultivate good EHS practices;
· Provides reasonably practicable and effective EHS recommendations to team members to ensure compliance to legal and other requirements;
· Motivates, coaches and counsels on EHS matter to site workforce on an on-going basis with particular regard for recalcitrant personnel;
· Co-ordinates the work of team members, allocates tasks and provides effective supervision;
· Assist Project Manager in leading the risk assessment team at site;
· Participates as a risk management team member in the corporate RM organization;
· Briefs project manager/project team periodically on the execution status of the overall safety program;
· Carries out safety orientations and to conduct daily safety toolbox meeting (if required);
· Assist Project Manager in conducts monthly EHS Committee meeting with SWC and Subcontractors as the Secretary;
· Reviews existing safety measures and recommend safety measures for upcoming works during the safety committee meeting;
· Attends client/consultant safety meeting/weekly coordination & technical meeting;
· Leads investigation and maintain records for every first aid case, accident and near miss at the work site;
· Conducts emergency drills periodically;
· Inspects site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard;
· Identifies and discusses environmental health irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/dust/smoke/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc. and recommends measures to rectify such irregularities;
