About this job
We are looking for a proactive and committed EHS Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System. This role will ensure compliance with company standards and Singapore regulatory requirements while promoting a strong workplace safety culture across the site.
The successful candidate will act as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO), providing professional EHS guidance to stakeholders and supporting operational excellence in areas such as biosafety, compliance, process safety, and occupational safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's EHS Management System, policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), environmental, and fire safety regulations, and maintain the site's legal and regulatory register.
- Organize, coordinate, and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to strengthen safety culture.
- Coordinate monthly Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental, and Fire Safety Committee meetings.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices, recommending improvements where appropriate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support EHS initiatives and compliance activities.
- Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
Certification
- Mandatory Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) Level C certification recognized by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Experience
- Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
- Up to 4 years of relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience is preferred.
