Maintenance System Lead

The Maintenance Lead shall be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities for all backend systems, IT infrastructure, network services, cybersecurity compliance, and Video Management System (VMS) platforms. The role serves as the primary interface with the Authorities and is accountable for ensuring system availability, reliability, security, and compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and cybersecurity requirements.
The Maintenance Lead shall lead and supervise the IT Security Team, Network Team, and Backend VMS Specialist to ensure effective operation and maintenance of all systems and services.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management
Manage and oversee all preventive, corrective, and ad-hoc maintenance activities for backend systems and supporting infrastructure.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct quarterly preventive maintenance activities to ensure system reliability and operational readiness.
Lead troubleshooting, fault investigation, and root cause analysis for system incidents and service disruptions.
Ensure timely restoration of services and resolution of maintenance issues in accordance with contractual requirements and SLAs.
Review and monitor system performance, availability, and maintenance effectiveness, implementing improvements where necessary.
Documentation and Reporting
Manage backend reports and maintain accurate monthly maintenance records and documentation.
Prepare maintenance reports, incident reports, and performance summaries for submission to stakeholders and Authorities.
Ensure weekly archival of system and application logs to maintain data integrity, traceability, and compliance requirements.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance procedures, system configurations, and operational activities.
Stakeholder and Contract Management
Act as the primary point of contact for Authorities on all maintenance, operational, and technical matters.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal support teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
Attend technical meetings, audits, and reviews with stakeholders and regulatory authorities as required.
Escalate critical issues and provide timely updates on maintenance status, risks, and mitigation measures.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
Ensure antivirus scanning, security updates, and system patching activities are performed in accordance with cybersecurity advisories and organizational policies.
Oversee compliance with applicable cybersecurity, data protection, and governance requirements.
Ensure the security of data, network access, backup systems, and critical IT assets.
Support cybersecurity incident response, investigations, audits, and remediation activities.
Technical Support and Continuous Improvement
Provide technical leadership and support for backend systems, servers, applications, and IT infrastructure.
Evaluate system performance and recommend technology improvements, process enhancements, and operational optimizations.
Identify risks and propose mitigation measures to improve system resilience, maintainability, and service quality.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and maintenance effectiveness.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system maintenance, or IT operations.
Experience with Windows/Linux servers, network infrastructure, and backend systems.
Knowledge of system maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident management.
Familiar with system patching, cybersecurity, and IT security best practices.
Experience managing SLAs and coordinating with vendors and stakeholders.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Team lead or supervisory experience is an advantage.
Experience in a government or mission-critical environment is preferred.
