Lead / Principal Instrument Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering activities for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Design and support instrumentation, control, safety, and ICSS systems.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with client requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Lead technical reviews, bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and package integration activities.
• Support project activities such as HAZOP, SIL studies, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup.
• Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and provide effective solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Drive engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• At least 10-15 years of Instrumentation & Control engineering experience in offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience with FPSOs, offshore platforms, floating production facilities, and brownfield projects.
• Proven experience in FEED, detailed design, project execution, commissioning, and startup.
• Experience leading engineering teams or acting as a discipline lead on EPC/EPCI projects.
• Good knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, API, ISO, NORSOK, and classification society requirements.
• Experience with control systems, safety systems, and ICSS integration.
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with clients and vendors.
