Senior Technical Manager

JOB SUMMARY

• Design and develop HD media cleanroom, mass-production machine/process and automation that enable to achieve better productivity, product quality, efficiency, and cost, by employing advanced technology for each manufacturing process.
• Design, Plan and Execute global advance technology and equipment improvement to ensure state of art manufacturing equipment and process.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide the empirically backed expertise on HD media production technology, which could be applicable to the company’s production process improvement.
2. Modify and upgrade the existing production process production machine to enable to produce the next generation of HD media, which may include providing technical assistance to RD and Plant Engineering (Equipment control), and cooperating with them to achieve the mission.
3. Collaborate with other HD media plants of Resonac Group, and to introduce any advanced technologies developed by them into the company.
4. Plan and execute task force project, as assigned by the COO. Project assigned may be multi-disciplinary, may include HD media production technology, Defect control, and operational efficiency enhancement, and may require cross-functional collaboration with other department.
5. Research any new advanced technology for production equipment and process for productivity improvement
6. Waste water treatment and recycle management
7. Other specific tasks as assigned by the COO.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Experience & Skills required

• Experience in Hard Disk Media manufacturing company, at least for 10 years, especially for production equipment and technology development.
• Full technical knowledge and experience for the whole HD media production process from Front-end process, Sputtering process, and Back-end process (Texturing, Pre-Sputter washing, Sputtering, Post-Sputter cleaning, Lubricant coating, and Final cleaning & Testing process).
• High vacuum technology and experience
• Experience for HD media production equipment introduction, modification on the exiting machine.
• Experience in new equipment qualification and startup.
• Experience to transfer the HD media product from RD stage to mass production with any modification on the exiting production equipment and process.
• Experience for overseas assignment.
• Oversea vendor management

• Willing to work in Cleanroom Environment.
• Willing to travel.
• English and Japanese language in writing and speaking is a must
