Physiotherapist
Job Description:
1. Conducting physiotherapy for all residents and/or clients including:
- performing objective assessments on residents and/or clients using appropriate assessment tools, including:
• Physiotherapy Assessment Form
• lnterRai Assessment Form
• Well-being Profiling Tool
• Any other relevant forms as required
- performing subjective assessments on residents and/or clients
- seeking relevant other information e.g. medical, psycho-social, biographical etc from relevant other sources either in written and/or verbal form, that will enhance the understanding of the residents and/or clients' background in order to plan interventions
- planning appropriate a clinical interventions for residents and/or clients in order to:
• achieve optimal desired clinical outcomes
• achieve minimal departmental quota to meet key performance indicators or exceed it
- Implementing appropriate clinical interventions for residents and/or clients in order to meet optimal desired clinical outcomes and key performance indicators
- Conducting reviews and evaluations on residents and/or clients in a timely manner in order to modify interventions as necessary and as scheduled and according to protocols,regulations and Standard Operating Procedures
2. Supervising all Therapy Assistants (Physiotherapy) and Senior Therapy Assistants (Physiotherapy) and ensuring that they succeed in their responsibilities and duties including:
- delivering correct and timely physiotherapy activities and services to meet their quota and key performance indicators
- performing general duties successfully
3. Training and guiding all Therapy Assistants (Physiotherapy) and Senior Therapy Assistants (Physiotherapy) to competently carry out their responsibilities and duties including:
- how to perform manual transfers
- how to perform passive/active/active assisted range of motion programs
- how to assist in ambulation programs
- how to assist in functional/exercise-based programs for balance, mobility,endurance, strength and co-ordination
4. Conducting caregiver training for identified families and caregivers of residents and/or clients when required including:
- carrying out home assessments for environmental modifications
- training caregivers in hands-on skills and/or in knowledge on relevant topics
Job Requirement:
1. A degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised University
2. Registration with the Allied Health Professional Council
3. The ability to speak and understand English as well as a minimum of at least 1 of the following:
Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Hindi, Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hakka, Hainanese
