Boat Operations Coordinator
About this job
V Harbour Singapore operates fully electric cargo vessels serving ships at anchorage in Singapore port waters. Our Hydromover-class catamarans (24m, 30-tonne payload) deliver ship spares, stores and cargo from shore to ship with zero-emission operations, supported by crew launches and land transport for end-to-end anchorage logistics.
The Role
You will be the operational nerve centre of our daily vessel schedule — turning customer orders into completed deliveries. Working from our Loyang base, you will coordinate vessels, crew, cargo and customers using our in-house digital operations platform.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the daily sailing schedule for cargo deliveries to vessels at Singapore anchorages
- Receive and process delivery orders from ship agents, owners and chandlers; create and assign jobs in the operations platform
- Coordinate cargo readiness, delivery documentation (delivery orders, manifests, boat notes) and truck/van arrivals at the base
- Monitor vessel movements, job progress and battery charging windows to keep the day's schedule on track
- Brief crew on job assignments, liaise with them throughout operations and escalate issues promptly
- Ensure each sailing complies with MPA harbour craft regulations and port procedures
- Update order status on completion and pass verified job records to accounts for invoicing
- Track daily KPIs (calls completed, on-time performance, energy consumption) and prepare operations reports
- Respond to weather, anchorage congestion and last-minute changes with practical replanning and clear customer communication
- Support safety procedures, toolbox briefings and incident reporting
Requirements
- Diploma or NITEC in Maritime Studies, Logistics / Supply Chain, or equivalent working experience
- 1–3 years in port operations, ship agency, harbour craft or launch operations, shipping or logistics coordination preferred; capable fresh candidates will be considered
- Knowledge of Singapore port waters, anchorages and MPA harbour craft requirements is an advantage
- Confident with scheduling tools and Microsoft Excel; quick to learn digital operations systems
- Organised, calm under pressure and a clear communicator with crew, agents and customers
- Able to support a 6-day operating schedule with rotating weekend / public holiday duty and occasional on-call
