Commercial Accountant (AR, Business Partnering)

Our client is a leading chemical provider. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Commercial Accountant to support and strengthen their operations team. They are located in the West– easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Commercial Finance & Business Support: Partner with Sales to assess customer deals, pricing, rebates, payment terms and profitability; support business cases and margin improvement initiatives while supervising daily AR operations.

• Credit Management & Collections: Review customer credit applications, recommend credit limits, monitor credit exposure and AR ageing, and support collection strategies and working capital reviews.

• Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing: Handle month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, intercompany reconciliations, management reporting and audit schedules.

• Contract & Commercial Governance: Maintain customer contracts, review commercial terms, pricing and rebate agreements, and ensure appropriate Finance approval prior to contract execution.

• Management Reporting & Financial Analysis: Monitor DSO, gross margins, customer profitability and working capital, and prepare dashboards and reporting packages for management review.

• Process Improvement & Digital Finance: Support Oracle system enhancements, reporting automation, finance digitalisation and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Min. 5 years' experience in AR and Commercial Finance or Management Accounting.

• Exposure to Finance Business Partnering with Sales or Commercial teams

• Knowledge of pricing, profitability, and commercial analysis.
