Preschool Principal – Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and administration of the preschool.
• Ensure compliance with ECDA regulations, policies, and licensing requirements.
• Ensure a safe, healthy, hygienic, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Lead, manage, and supervise teachers and support staff.
• Plan and coordinate staff deployment, schedules, and daily operations.
• Oversee curriculum planning, implementation, and teaching quality.
• Support teachers in developing effective teaching strategies and learning environments.
• Monitor children’s learning, development, safety, and well-being.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for educators.
• Conduct staff performance reviews and support continuous professional growth.
• Build strong and positive relationships with parents and caregivers.
• Handle parents’ feedback, enquiries, and concerns professionally.
• Develop partnerships with families, community organisations, and relevant stakeholders.
• Manage centre resources, facilities, records, and administrative matters.
• Support budgeting and effective management of centre resources.
• Develop and implement centre policies, procedures, and improvement plans.
• Lead the preschool’s continuous improvement and quality enhancement initiatives.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture.
• Ensure the preschool provides a high-quality learning experience that supports children’s holistic development.
