Dishwasher - Night Shift

SUMMARY:

We're looking for a passionate Dishwasher to join our exciting team at Oak & Ember. As a Dishwasher, you'll be responsible for keeping our service and kitchen operations clean and efficient. This full-time position involves managing the dinner cleanup followed by closing procedures, and deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and ensuring the facility is ready for opening team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning & Sanitization

- Hand-wash delicate items such as fragile glassware and large cookware (pots, pans, baking sheets) that cannot fit in or withstand dishwasher machine

- Efficiently scrape, pre-rinse, and load dish racks into dishwasher machine and monitor wash/rinse for proper temperature

- Inspect every item after washing for remaining residue, spots, or cracks – rewash immediately if they do not meet standards

Machine Maintenance

- Drain, clean, and descale industrial dish machines at the end of the shift to ensure they are fully operational for the morning

Team Support

- Assist with any other tasks needed to support the kitchen operations

- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service

OTHER DETAILS:

Night shift position: 8 PM – 8 AM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- This is a night shift role

- Previous restaurant or cleaning experience is preferred, but not mandatory

- Understanding of food safety, sanitation protocols, and cleaning procedures

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak hours calmly

- Responsible, punctual, and a good team player with a positive attitude
