Voyage Accounts Executive (1-year Contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Review monthly trade-related accounts payable postings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review monthly journal vouchers and accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly financial schedules and supporting documentation.
• Manage incoming accounts receivable funds, issue internal notifications and apply receipts accurately.
• Prepare and input quarterly consolidation packages.
• Review weekly short-term cash-flow projections and quarterly long-term cash-flow forecasts.
• Perform monthly voyage accrual runs and ensure expenses are properly captured.
• Coordinate the annual General and Administrative Expense budget.
• Collate divisional budgets under a single reporting entity.
• Prepare annual AIS reporting and support quarterly survey submissions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities where required.
• Support audits and provide relevant financial schedules and documentation.
• Undertake ad hoc finance and accounting assignments as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in a full-set accounting, financial reporting or similar finance position.
• Experience within the shipping, maritime or logistics industry would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with voyage accounting or voyage accruals would be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, consolidation and cash-flow forecasting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to manage recurring monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Available to commit to a one-year contract.
