Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Design Engineer – Mechanical to support the design and delivery of automated process and cleaning equipment. The role combines mechanical design, project coordination and technical support, working closely with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out conceptual and detailed mechanical design for automated process, cleaning and related equipment.

• Prepare and interpret technical specifications, drawings and documentation, and support the Sales team with technical proposals.

• Manage project drawings, schedules, implementation and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and business partners to ensure timely project execution.

• Monitor project progress and resolve design related technical issues.

• Liaise with customers and internal teams from tender stage to project execution and delivery.

• Support equipment installation, testing and commissioning where required.

• Ensure designs and project deliverables meet specified technical and customer requirements.

• Perform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned by Management.

Required Competencies and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and project management.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Good understanding of mechanical design, engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and project coordination skills.

• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

• Experience in automated process equipment, cleaning equipment or industrial machinery.

• Experience in railway depot equipment or related engineering projects would be an advantage.

• Experience in coordinating with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Experience in equipment installation, testing and commissioning would be an advantage.
