Transaction Monitoring (up to $7000)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 2nd-level review and analysis of trade transactions, remittances, cheques and cash transactions to identify potential AML/CFT concerns.
• Review and approve transaction escalations and provide clear risk assessment and mitigation recommendations.
• Review and investigate post-transaction monitoring alerts generated by the Transaction Monitoring System and conduct further transaction analysis where required.
• Identify and assess suspicious activities and transactions and support timely reporting to the relevant authorities.
• Provide transaction monitoring advisory to Business Units and Operations.
• Assist with daily/monthly AML checks and reporting, including local lists, high-risk country lists, watchlist reports and transaction escalations.
• Maintain awareness of Trade-Based Money Laundering (TBML) red flags, AML/CFT risks, sanctions, financial crime typologies and regulatory developments.
• Assist with KYC reviews, audit requests, statistics and other compliance-related matters as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve transaction monitoring processes, controls and procedures.
• Perform other ad hoc duties and compliance-related projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in the financial services industry, including at least 2 years of AML/CFT Compliance experience, preferably in Transaction Monitoring and Investigation.
• Experience in Trade ECDD and transaction due diligence will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MAS Notice 626, Guidelines to MAS Notice 626, AML/CFT requirements and sanctions.
• Experience in banking, trade finance or transaction monitoring will be an advantage.
