Our client is seeking a Chinese-speaking Duty Manager to join their Front Office team.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, this role oversees the daily Front Office operations to ensure seamless guest experiences while supporting the Reservations and Guest Services functions.
The successful candidate will lead the team in delivering exceptional service, collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, and perform Manager on Duty responsibilities when required.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Oversee the daily operations of the Front Office to ensure a high standard of guest service and operational efficiency.
Lead, coach, and support the Front Office team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Perform duty management responsibilities and oversee daily operations in the absence of senior management.
Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and service recovery in a professional and timely manner.
Welcome and assist guests, including VIP and group arrivals, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Support room reservations, monitor room availability, and maintain reservation accuracy.
Coordinate with guest services teams to facilitate personalised guest requests and operational arrangements.
Work closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Monitor room allocations, guest arrivals and departures, billing, cashiering, and operational reporting.
Support overnight operational duties and end-of-day procedures as required.
Conduct team briefings, provide on-the-job coaching, and support staff development to maintain service standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of Front Office experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or Duty Manager role.
Experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment is preferred.
Fluent in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to support international and Chinese speaking guests.
Experience in Front Office operations, with exposure to Reservations, Guest Services, or Guest Relations.
Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience delivering high standards of guest service and handling VIP guests or personalised guest experiences.
Familiarity with Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night shifts, as required by operational needs.
