Marine Superintendent

Key Accountabilities:

Ÿ Oversee the technical management of assigned tanker vessels, ensuring safeand reliable operations in line with company SMS, class, flag, statutory andindustry requirements.

Ÿ Monitor vessel condition, planned maintenance, defects, performance andoperational reports; follow up with shipboard teams to close technical mattersin a timely manner.

Ÿ Provide day-to-day technical support to Masters, Chief Engineers andvessel teams, including troubleshooting, repairs and coordination with OEMs /third-party service providers. Provide operational and commercial guidance toMasters, including voyage orders, port limitations, navigation risks, andsecurity threats.

Ÿ Monitor, coordinate and attend to vessels for CDI/SIRE/PSC inspections,statutory surveys, related matters and follow-up

Ÿ Manage relationships with owners and charterers; address operationalinquiries and complaints when required.

Ÿ Monitor navigational and cargo operations to ensure compliance withinternational regulations and company standards.

Ÿ Assist with identifying discrepancies in operational standards and adviseon navigational and cargo equipment performance.

Ÿ Ensure vessels maintain statutory certifications and compliance withClass, Flag State, and Port State requirements.

Ÿ Identify and mitigate operational and security risks.

Ÿ Act as Company Security Officer and support Masters during vetting,audits, and inspections; prepare responses and implement corrective actions.

Ÿ Prepare and submit reports and statistics on vessel performance incollaboration with relevant teams.

Ÿ Handle cargo claims and liaise with P&I/Insurance on commercialdisputes when required.

Ÿ Conduct appraisals and training for sea staff during ship visits; identifytraining needs and arrange briefings.

Requirements:

Educationand Qualifications:

Ÿ M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or equivalent;Master Mariner

WorkExperience:

Ÿ Minimum 5 years sailing experience as Master on Chemical tankers
