Immediate Start - Locum Occupational Therapist (Upper Thomson)

We are recruiting a Locum Occupational Therapist/ Senior Occupational Therapist for a Nursing Home located at Upper Thomson.

Availability:

• Part-time (2-3 days per week)
• Immediate, 1.5 - 6 months duration

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assess the client's Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Instrumental ADL (IADL), leisure abilities, functional status, cognition, perception and psychosocial status.
• Set suitable therapeutic goals and develop and implement suitable intervention plans for the client.
• Conduct trainings to TAs as and when required to ensure competent implementation of your intervention plans and wheelchair transfers etc.
• Provide advice on the use of orthosis, prothesis or assistive / adaptive devices to maintain or improve ADL performances
• Provide caregiver training and patient education.
• Plan and implement community integration activities.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Full AHPC Registration
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, community care, or nursing home setting
• Passionate about Occupational Therapy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in local languages will be an advantage
• Self-motivated to engage in continuous learning and education in the field of Occupational Therapy
