Operators – Polishing and Deburring

Job Responsibilities

• Perform manual polishing, deburring, grinding, and surface finishing of precision-machined components.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, machining marks, scratches, and other surface imperfections according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Operate polishing machines, grinding tools, deburring tools, and other related equipment safely.
• Ensure components meet specified surface finish, edge condition, dimensional, and cosmetic requirements.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections after polishing and deburring.
• Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment where required.
• Handle precision components carefully to prevent scratches, dents, contamination, or other damage.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, engineering drawings, BOMs, and quality requirements.
• Record production and inspection results accurately.
• Support other production activities such as cleaning, washing, assembly, and packing when required.
• Report abnormal conditions, quality defects, equipment issues, or other concerns to the Supervisor/Engineer.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Requirements

• N-Level / O-Level / NITEC / Higher NITEC or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in polishing, deburring, grinding, machining, metal finishing, or precision manufacturing is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of polishing, deburring, grinding, and surface finishing processes.
• Able to use hand tools, deburring tools, polishing machines, grinding tools, and basic inspection equipment.
• Basic ability to understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and work instructions.
• Able to identify scratches, burrs, dents, sharp edges, stains, and other surface defects.
• Basic understanding of quality requirements and inspection procedures.
• Able to understand basic English work instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Careful, responsible, and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
• Willing to work overtime and/or shift work when required.
• Willing to work in East region, Changi North Cresent.
