NextLabs is seeking a highly motivated Technical Trainer & Writer who combines strong technical writing capabilities with engaging training delivery skills. This role bridges product knowledge, documentation, and learning enablement to support customers, partners, system integrators, and internal teams, lead high-engagement, active training and certification delivery for the NextLabs Certified Program (NCP). It focuses on enabling external customers, enterprise partners, and System Integrators(SIs).

As part of a collaborative global enablement team, you will work closely with Product Owners, instructional designers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate complex platform capabilities into engaging, synchronous virtual learning. You will facilitate active training sessions, manage online participant engagement, and evaluate competency-based lab assessments that empower third-party engineers to deploy and configure NextLabs Zero Trust Data Security platforms.

Deep technical expertise in cybersecurity is a plus, but strong adult learning facilitation, online audience engagement, and instructional agility are the primary drivers of success for this role—technical domain knowledge can be learned on the job with team support.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Learning Enablement

1. Live Facilitation & Active Learning (vILT)

  • Facilitate live, interactive virtual/in-person instructor-led training (vILT) and webinars for global SIs, implementation partners, and customer technical teams.
  • Drive participant engagement through online learning activities, breakout discussions, live polls, and interactive Q&A sessions.
  • Guide learners through synchronous, hands-on lab exercises, helping them navigate technical scenarios with active coaching.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & SME Engagement

  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Content Developers, and technical SMEs to gather product updates and convert technical documentation into effective training scripts and activities.
  • Collaborate with internal enablement peers to co-deliver sessions, share facilitation best practices, and continuously elevate team delivery standards.
  • Work with content developers to ensure sandbox lab environments and hands-on training instances align with course objectives.

3. Assessment & Program Operations

  • Administer, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on performance-based certification assessments to validate learner competency.
  • Gather actionable feedback from SI and learners to iterate on facilitation methods, activity designs, and assessment rubrics.
  • Track learner progress, certification pass rates, attendance metrics, and general training administration.

Technical Documentation

  • Own and maintain documentation for assigned products and solutions.
  • Gather information from SMEs, Product Owners, and Engineering teams to develop accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Create and maintain user guides, administration guides, implementation guides, release notes, knowledge base articles, online help systems, and training materials.
  • Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, technically accurate, and aligned with product releases.
  • Review and improve product UI text, labels, messages, and customer-facing content.
  • Continuously learn product capabilities, platform integrations, and emerging technologies to enhance documentation quality.

Qualifications& Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications, Journalism, Education, or a related discipline.

1.Facilitation & Training Expertise

  • Proven Facilitation Track Record: Experience conducting live virtual training, webinars, and synchronous online workshops for adult learners.
  • Instructional Engagement: Strong command of online presentation tools, virtual classroom management, and active learning strategies.
  • Adult Learning Frameworks: ACLP (WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance) or DACE (Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education) certifications preferred.
  • SME Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to interview technical experts, break down complex topics, and translate technical concepts into accessible learning materials.
  • Team-Oriented Mind set: Thrives in a supportive team environment where content development, lab setup, and delivery are shared collaborative efforts.

2.Technical Aptitude & Background

  • Background: Experience of 3-5 years as a Trainer, Technical Enablement Specialist, or IT Instructor in enterprise software, SaaS, or tech-adjacent fields.
  • Technical Literacy (A Plus, Can Be Learned On the Job):
  • Foundational understanding of enterprise IT architecture (OS, Networking basics, Active Directory, cloud platforms like AWS/Azure) (Must Have)
  • Familiarity with web architecture, basic APIs, or software delivery concepts. (Nice to have)
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, Identity & Access Management (IAM), or Data Protection concepts (e.g., ABAC, Zero Trust) is an added advantage. (Added Plus)
  • Experience with authoring tools such as FrameMaker, Oxygen XML Editor, Markdown, Confluence, or similar documentation platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of DITA XML or structured authoring methodologies is beneficial

3.Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Japanese, German, French, Spanish is desirable to communicate, train, gather feedback, conduct workshops for staff of overseas Japanese, German, French and Spanish clients
  • Strong poise and presentation presence when presenting alone or co-facilitating on camera.
  • Patient, empathetic approach to coaching learners through technical troubleshooting during live sessions.
