5 days, 8.30am to 6pm
Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at a Senior Day Rehabilitation Centre. The successful candidate will lead the planning and delivery of occupational therapy services to elderly clients, supporting their independence and enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess clients’ physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and functional abilities.
- Plan and implement individualised, goal-oriented occupational therapy interventions.
- Conduct home assessments and recommend environmental modifications to promote safety and independence.
- Fabricate, prescribe, or recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary meetings, and care planning.
- Educate clients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation goals, strategies, and maintenance of function.
- Contribute to community outreach and health promotion activities.
- To co-lead quality improvement project
- Supervise therapy assistants
- Participate in clinical student placement
- Participate in internal training
- To provide service to various settings (eg. Home Rehab, CR, CH, NH) as deemed competent
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
- At least 2 to 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in geriatric or community-based settings.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills.
- Passion for working with older adults and promoting active, independent living.
