The A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (A*STAR IHDP) focuses on research that aims to improve and impact the health and well-being of Singaporeans across the life course. IHDP conducts research on developmental cohorts as well as related studies in metabolic health, mental health, environmental nutrition, metabolism, allergy and neurocognition and environmental influences on human development.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Research Officer to join the Translational Neuroscience group in IHDP to study children and adolescent mental health in our existing cohort studies.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and processing of behavioural, psychological and MRI data
  • Data analysis and interpretation of results
  • Performing literature reviews and scientific writing of abstracts/manuscripts
  • Presenting findings internally and externally (e.g.conference)

Qualifications:

  • BSc degree in psychology, neuroscience, child development, biology or other science-related fields
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with Matlab, R or other programming experience is highly preferred
  • Prior research experience would be an advantage
