*URGENT* Locum Sonographer (Central, Half Day AM, $55/hr) #HRY

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform Scans: Conduct independent diagnostic ultrasound examinations (such as abdominal, pelvic, obstetrics/gynecology, vascular, or small parts) based on doctor or radiologist orders.
• Patient Care: Prepare and position patients, explain procedures to ease anxiety, and verify clinical history.
• Image Quality: Capture, record, and optimize high-quality diagnostic images and document preliminary findings for radiologists.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and test diagnostic ultrasound machines to ensure proper functionality and infection control compliance.
• Administrative Tasks: Update electronic health records, maintain examination logs, and assist with ultrasound-guided procedures if required.

Requirements:

• Registration: Valid registration and licensing with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Qualifications: Recognized diploma or degree in diagnostic radiography, allied health, or post-graduate qualifications in medical ultrasound.
• Experience: Possess at least 2 to 3 years of hands-on clinical ultrasound/sonography experience.
• Able to commit 8.30am to 12.30pm on weekdays
