Job Summary

Join a Direct Business team as a Sales Support Specialist in general insurance, providing operational support and driving process improvements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative support to the Business Development team for general insurance policies and premium collection processes
• Process new policies, renewals, and policy amendments/endorsements accurately and efficiently from start to finish
• Review, organise, and maintain insurance documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of records
• Prepare policy-related documents timely and accurately to deliver high service standards
• Respond promptly to enquiries from intermediaries and internal stakeholders to resolve issues
• Maintain up-to-date policy records and support daily administrative tasks for the team
• Participate actively in process improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Review customer complaints, conduct initial investigations, and escalate findings to managers with timely follow-up
• Prepare regular operational reports, including weekly and monthly summaries, to support business insights
• Provide occasional on-site support for marketing or business activities as needed
• Undertake additional operational responsibilities as assigned by the team

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant experience within a general insurance company, broker, or insurance intermediary
• Insurance certifications such as BCP, PGI, and/or COMGI are advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to support reporting and presentations
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively in a dynamic, high-volume environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset with proven ability to collaborate across functions and build effective stakeholder relationships
