Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and committed Humanities Teacher specialising in Geography and Social Studies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is an engaging educator with strong subject mastery, the ability to develop high-quality curriculum materials, and a drive to inspire students to think critically about real-world issues. It is a bonus if you are able to teach History too.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging and effective lessons for O-Level and/or IP students in Geography and/or Social Studies.
✅ Curriculum Development: Create and refine high-quality lesson materials, notes, and practice resources aligned with MOE syllabus requirements.
✅ Student Engagement: Foster a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, inquiry, and academic curiosity.
✅ Assessment & Feedback: Design formative and summative assessments to track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
✅ Professional Development: Stay updated with syllabus changes, exam trends, and best teaching practices to ensure lesson effectiveness.
✅ Collaboration: Work closely with the Humanities team to align lesson strategies, share best practices, and enhance overall teaching quality.

Requirements

🎓 Qualifications: A degree in Geography, History, Political Science, Education, or a related Humanities field.
📚 Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching Secondary Geography and/or Social Studies (MOE/IP syllabus) preferred.
💡 Passion for Education: Strong enthusiasm for Humanities subjects and the ability to make them relevant and engaging.
📝 Strong Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and interact effectively with students.
🔍 Analytical Thinking: Skilled in guiding students to develop structured arguments and critical perspectives.

Working Hours & Expectations

⏳ Class Load: 10 classes per week, 1 weekend minimum.
📍 Reporting Time: Report to work 30 minutes before class.
🗓 Flexible Working Schedule: Teachers report based on class schedule, with additional commitments as required.
🤝 All-Hands Meetings: Attendance at team meetings and training sessions is required.
