Project Engineer / Electrical (S-C)

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Take charge of projects assigned to him

2. Requisition of resources for the projects such as labour, materials, equipment and

others

3. Planning of timely delivery and reduce/ minimise wastage of material/ equipment/

resources

4. Monitor the progress and performance of sub-contractors

5. Perform project management to ensure that project progresses according to schedule

and to take the appropriate corrective action when deviations arise

6. Liaise with customers, consultants, clerks-of-work and statutory authorities on matters

concerning the progress of work, acceptance of work, approval of plans, problems

faced and others

7. Liaise with Purchasing Department on the delivery of items purchased for the project

8. Ensure proper hand over of project to the customer when it is completed

9. Be responsible for the administration of contract, claims, disputes, variation and final

accounts

10. Provide on-job-training to new project staff

11. Assign and supervise subcontractors' work

12. Ensure safety practices are followed

13. Solve all work co-ordination or technical problems at site

14. Carry out inspections of incoming materials and equipment for the projects at the work

site

15. Conduct quality checks on work done by workers

16. Arrange for overtime work if necessary

17. Raise non-conformance product report for nonconforming products

18. Conduct Project Planning

19. Prepare and Control shop drawings

20. Prepare Material Requisition

21. To carry out and monitor stock control on materials at site

22. Recommend and execute corrective method for Non-Conformance Performance

23. Prepare Quality Plan

24. Ensure all site execution with valid approved drawing, Architect Instruction, Engineer

Instruction, Written Instruction from client/ main contractor representative

25. Carried out assignment as detailed by the Senior Manager/ Project Manager/ Assistant
