Structural Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise the execution and construction of structural steel building projects undertaken by the company.
• Oversee the fabrication, erection, welding, and installation of steel members or components that form an integral part of the building's structural system.
• Perform the design and structural verification of miscellaneous steel structures, including lifting points and equipment lifting supports.
• Ensure compliance with the Building Control Act and all relevant regulations and codes of practice.
• Endorse technical matters for projects and oversee the quality of professional engineering work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in structural steel engineering or projects under the SB(SS) (Specialist Builder – Structural Steelwork) category. Experience gained in Singapore or overseas will be considered.
• Must meet the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) requirements for appointment as a Technical Controller under the Specialist Builder (Structural Steelwork) Licence.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients, associates, and stakeholders.
