About this job
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site surveying, setting out works, and ensuring construction activities are executed accurately in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and subcontractors to support the successful delivery of construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Site Surveying & Setting Out
Carry out site surveys, measurements, and setting out works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Establish and verify control points, benchmarks, grid lines, and reference levels.
Ensure all setting out works are accurate before construction activities commence.
Verify dimensions, levels, coordinates, and alignments throughout the construction process.
Perform as-built surveys and prepare accurate as-built records upon project completion.
Construction Support
Work closely with Project Managers and Site Engineers to support day-to-day construction activities.
Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
Resolve discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
Coordinate survey requirements with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with design intent.
Quality Assurance
Conduct dimensional checks and inspections to ensure work complies with project specifications and quality standards.
Prepare survey reports, field notes, and measurement records.
Identify and report any deviations or discrepancies promptly.
Assist in maintaining quality assurance documentation.
Equipment Management
Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including:
Total Station
GPS/GNSS Survey Equipment
Automatic and Digital Levels
Laser Measuring Equipment
Ensure surveying instruments are calibrated and maintained in good working condition.
Manage survey data and maintain proper documentation.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Comply with all workplace safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in toolbox meetings and site safety briefings.
Ensure survey activities are carried out safely without disrupting ongoing site operations.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–5 years of surveying experience in building, infrastructure, or construction projects.
Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
Hands-on experience operating Total Station, GPS/GNSS, and levelling instruments.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and surveying software is an advantage.
Good understanding of construction methods and site practices.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
