RESPONSIBILITIES
The Social Worker / Case Worker works in the field of social work. He/She is qualified and trained to provide interventions and programmes, perform community development work and uplift the professional practice in social work. He/She conducts casework and group work as well as implement and evaluate community development activities and programmes to address service gaps in the community. He/She works in collaboration with other agencies and ministries in the course of his work. He/She provides supervision to his subordinates.
Job Responsibilities
Casework
- Conduct needs and intake assessments
- Implement case and care plans and interventions
- Prepare social reports
- Maintain case notes and documents
- Perform case and care planning and goal setting
- Review casework interventions for improvements
- Conduct closure of cases upon achieving sustainable service outcomes for clients, families and communities
Group Work
- Review group work interventions/programmes for improvements
- Facilitate group work interventions/programmes under supervision
- Support the planning of group work interventions/ programmes
Community Development Work
- Collaborate with other agencies to pool community resources
- Conduct environmental scans and community need assessments
- Review community development initiatives for improvements
- Implement community development initiatives
- Support development of community development initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
- Build rapport and professional relationships with clients and significant others
- Participate in social work practice across disciplines
Uplift of Professional Practice in Social Work
- Participate in research to uplift the professional practice in social work
- Respond to crisis situations based on organisational Standard Operating Procedures
- Possess Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work or a relevant degree in social sciences or related discipline(s) (e.g. psychology) from an accredited institution
Relevant Experience
- Prior experience as a social worker would be an advantage
- Accredited as Registered Social Worker with Singapore Association of Social Workers would be an advantage
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
