Senior Manager (Operation Lead -Mechanical)

• 5.5 Days || 8.30am - 5.30pm (Mon - Fri); 8.30am - 12.30pm (Sat)
• Working location: HQ at AMK (but mostly will spend time going to from site to site to check on the projects progress)
• $10,000 to $14,000

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, recognized by PE Board Singapore/ BCA/ IES
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Mechanical services in M&E Consultancy or related firms
• Candidates with Professional Engineer (Mechanical) certification will be advantageous.

Job scopes

a. Technical proficiency

1. Provide technical advice to project managers and engineers
2. Provide technical write-ups
3. Resolving related mechanical matters
4. Provide training and mentoring of mechanical Engineers
5. Collection and investigation of necessary information for future projects/ tenders, development of relationship with potential clients and consultants for future projects
6. Interpretation of specifications, terms and conditions, drawings and any other relevant documents
7. Advise in preparation of presentation slides for tender interviews
8. Advise Value Engineering for tenders and projects
9. Advise Technical Specification compliance

b. Operation Leads

1. Interpretation of specifications, terms and conditions, compliances, drawings and any other relevant documents
2. Involve in project write up such as understanding scope of work, manpower histogram, programs, Gantt Chart on scope of works using Microsoft Project software and Organization chart
3. Monitor of project cashflow and P&L.
4. Attend meetings with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors with project managers to sort out operations issues.
5. Provide advice or solutions to site issues, manpower deployment etc.
6. Assist the site team on obtaining Variation Orders (VOs), Value Engineering, Recruitment
7. Settlement of claims from client, subcontractors, suppliers and any other parties related to the projects
8. Provide solution to projects management, site issues, technical issues, manpower deployment
9. Mentorship to juniors and motivate project teams where necessary
10. Proficiency in contractual knowledge
