CIVIL ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, design, coordinate and supervise civil engineering and construction works.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress, workmanship, quality and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with project schedules, safety requirements and relevant regulations.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, technical submissions and site documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or construction-related issues.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, machinery and other resources required for site activities.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed according to contractual requirements.
• Assist in quantity take-off, material planning and cost control.
• Attend project, technical and site coordination meetings.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and consultants when required.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, testing, approvals and completed works.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and project completion activities.
• Perform other civil engineering and project-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction or civil engineering projects preferred.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of site coordination, construction methods and project documentation.
• Good communication, problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
