Compliance Officer / Compliance Executive
About this job
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Officer to support and strengthen our regulatory compliance framework in line with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing financial institutions in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with MAS regulations, including but not limited to: Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Financial Advisers Act (FAA), Payment Services Act (PSA), where applicable, and MAS Notices and Guidelines (e.g. AML/CFT, Technology Risk Management)
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct AML/CFT monitoring, including KYC/CDD reviews and transaction surveillance
- Perform compliance risk assessments, internal reviews, and control testing
- Act as the main point of contact for MAS regulatory filings and inspections
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Provide ongoing compliance advisory and training to business units
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on business operations
- Investigate compliance breaches and recommend remediation actions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2–5+ years of compliance experience within an MAS-regulated entity
- Strong knowledge of MAS regulatory framework and AML/CFT requirements
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting (e.g. suspicious transaction reporting, MAS returns)
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in capital markets, asset management, or fintech environments
- Prior experience handling MAS inspections or audits
