Company Overview

Dip Cafe is seeking a skilled Cafe Chef with expertise in Vietnamese cuisine, committed to food quality and compliance with Singapore food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Vietnamese dishes, including traditional soups, noodles, and specialty regional cuisine to meet customer expectations
• Maintain consistency, presentation, and quality of all food served to ensure customer satisfaction
• Develop and refine menu offerings while preserving authenticity and enhancing customer appeal
• Monitor food preparation processes, control portion sizes, and uphold kitchen hygiene standards to ensure safety and quality
• Manage inventory by ordering stock and conducting ingredient quality checks to maintain kitchen supply and standards
• Ensure full compliance with Singapore's food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain legal and health standards
• Train and supervise kitchen staff to uphold high culinary standards and efficient kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment to support smooth daily operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess Singapore Food Safety Course Level 1 (formerly Basic Food Hygiene Course) certification or an equivalent recognized certification
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Kitchen Chef
• Strong knowledge of authentic Vietnamese ingredients, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working in restaurants, cafés, or food establishments in Singapore
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
• Passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences
