Job Responsibilities
- Lead the site safety team and subcontractors to implement company safety systems, ensuring compliance and effective risk management
- Collaborate with site operations staff and project managers to address safety and health issues, driving proactive safety solutions
- Supervise and promote safe conduct on site by identifying and rectifying unsafe work environments and practices
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to detect hazards and perform safety gap analyses to improve workplace safety
- Assist in reporting and investigating accidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
- Facilitate tool-box meetings to communicate safety updates and reinforce safety culture among workers
- Support safety planning and incident prevention initiatives to minimize workplace risks
- Assist in preparing for and participating in ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 audits to maintain certification standards
- Liaise with government agencies, insurance companies, and auditors to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Perform any other duties required under the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act
Job Requirements
- MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
- Preferably with ECO licensed
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building and construction safety management
- Proficient knowledge of ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage across departments and functions
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry activities and safety requirements
- Alternate Saturday work
