CIVIL ENGINEER
About this job
The successful candidate will support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects by preparing engineering drawings, coordinating multidisciplinary designs, and ensuring compliance with Singapore standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and develop civil engineering design drawings, plans, details, and tender documentation using AutoCAD and other design software.
Produce and coordinate engineering drawings for roadworks, drainage, utility diversions, traffic schemes, and other infrastructure works.
Assist in engineering design, calculations, and technical assessments in accordance with relevant Singapore regulations.
Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, M&E, traffic, and utility disciplines to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
Prepare submissions to relevant authorities, addressing review comments and obtaining approvals.
Support the preparation of tender documents, specifications, Bills of Quantities, and engineering reports.
Attend technical meetings with clients, authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Conduct site inspections to verify existing conditions, monitor construction progress, and review compliance with design intent.
Review contractors' shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and requests for information (RFIs).
Assist the Resident Engineer or Project Manager during the construction phase by providing technical support and resolving design-related issues.
Maintain project documentation, drawing registers, and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Diploma in Civil Engineering or higher.
Minimum 1 year of experience in civil engineering consultancy or infrastructure design. Involvement in LTA projects preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD with drafting and detailing skills.
Experience preparing engineering drawings and authority submissions.
Familiarity with road design, drainage systems, utility coordination, earthworks, and transportation infrastructure.
Experience with Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, Revit, or BIM workflows is an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in MRT, road, expressway, tunnel, bridge, or utility infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of BIM collaboration platforms and knowledge to use simple engineering softwares.
Progress toward or eligibility for Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Singapore is an advantage.
