TECHNICAL MANAGER

About the role

The Software & Applications Manager leads the design, implementation, and management of enterprise software solutions, with a focus on SWIFT technologies. The role provides technical leadership across pre-sales, solution architecture, software delivery, and operational support while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture, SWIFT implementations, and complex system integrations.
• Support pre-sales activities, including RFPs, RFIs, POCs, solution scoping, and technical presentations.
• Oversee software implementation strategies, review Statements of Work (SOWs), and manage technical risks.
• Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to align delivery expectations, communicate project status, and resolve escalated issues.
• Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis, software optimisation, and maintenance planning.
• Oversee the development of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and ensure software solutions incorporate appropriate security and risk controls.
• Monitor the quality and performance of software solutions and oversee software acquisition and development.
• Mentor technical teams, advise on resource planning, and promote SWIFT best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying emerging technologies and recommending solution enhancements.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in application consulting, business analysis, or IT support in financial compliance, financial industry, or similar business applications will be an advantage. Fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset.
• Eagerness to learn and expand technical expertise.
• Strong teamwork, planning and coordination abilities.
• Ability and willingness to travel or work independently when required.

Technical Skills:

• Technical knowledge on Windows operating system, networking, and databases (MS SQL and Oracle).
• Basic understanding of security and concepts with PKI infrastructures, SSL, TLS.
• Swift application related Certifications
