The Opportunity
Are you a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to dive into the dynamic marine and offshore sector? As a Marine Field Technician, you will be at the forefront of maritime innovation. You won't just be sitting behind a desk—you'll get hands-on exposure to advanced vessel equipment, conduct vital onboard service activities, and deliver top-tier technical support alongside seasoned professionals.
Our client is deeply invested in the growth of their team. You will undergo an intensive 6-month on-the-job training program under the guidance of their in-house industry experts to equip you with the practical expertise needed to succeed, with a standard 3-month job confirmation milestone.
What You’ll Do
Hands-On Engineering: Assist in the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of state-of-the-art marine electronic, communication, and automation systems.
Problem Solving: Support the servicing and troubleshooting of critical navigation and safety systems onboard diverse vessels, working alongside senior engineers to resolve complex technical faults.
Maintenance & Calibration: Perform crucial preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as equipment testing, configuration, and functional checks.
Technical Analysis: Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical blueprints.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with senior engineers, vessel crews, ship management companies, and end-clients to ensure smooth service delivery.
Reporting & Support: Prepare accurate technical documentation, inspection checklists, and provide basic remote technical support.
Who We Are Looking For
Education: Fresh graduate, ITE, or Diploma holder in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 0–3 years of experience in marine service, automation, electronics, electrical systems, or instrumentation. Freshers with relevant academic projects, internships, or technical training are highly encouraged to apply!
Core Skills: Basic IT proficiency is required. The ability to read and understand electrical drawings is a must.
Profile: An enthusiastic, early-career professional (ideally aged 25–30) who is eager to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced field environment.
Adventurous Spirit: A strong willingness to travel both locally and internationally for service assignments, specialized training, and exciting project requirements.
