Document Controller (Marine EPC)

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to support Marine EPC and offshore projects within a well-established organization in the maritime industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation, coordinating document submissions and distributions, and ensuring all project records are properly controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Register, track, distribute, and maintain project documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain document registers, transmittals, revision records, and document status trackers.
- Handle engineering drawings, specifications, reports, vendor documents, correspondence, and project records.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing document submissions between internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor document review and approval status and follow up on outstanding submissions.
- Ensure only the latest approved documents are circulated and superseded revisions are properly controlled.
- Assist with vendor and subcontractor document submissions and tracking.
- Maintain electronic and hard-copy filing systems and ensure document traceability.
- Prepare basic document status reports and updates for the project team.
- Support project close-out, as-built documentation, and handover activities.
- Assist with document audits and other project administration duties when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant document control experience, preferably within Marine, Shipbuilding, Offshore, Oil & Gas, or EPC environments.
- Experience handling technical or project documentation is preferred.
- Familiarity with document registers, transmittals, revision control, and document filing procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project environment.
- Proactive, structured, and comfortable working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
