Job Summary

Join Deks Air as a Cargo Officer to manage cargo bookings, coordinate with ground handlers, supervise warehouse loading, and support cargo operations to ensure smooth airline cargo services.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process cargo space booking requests via telephone and email from cargo agents
• Confirm cargo space availability and communicate confirmations to cargo agents
• Coordinate cargo operations with SATS Ground Handling Agent (GHA) and internal airline departments
• Issue and maintain accurate records of Air Waybill (AWB) stock issued to cargo agents
• Perform cargo reservation and operational duties according to shift roster, including Sundays and extended hours for flight release and AWB/flight data updates
• Update Unit Load Device (ULD) stock records in SCM/UCM systems to maintain inventory accuracy
• Supervise cargo warehouse loading activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Follow up with GSA airlines on Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) compliance and prepare monthly operational reports
• Address and resolve freight operation issues and problems promptly
• Provide sales support and customer service to cargo agents and stakeholders
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level qualification
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in cargo operations, preferably with a GSA or airline
• Ability to work independently with strong responsibility and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by flight schedules
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Immediate availability to commence work
